Boldly Naval

We recently bought a home in October, and slowly (maybe not slowly enough sometimes) have been making it look a bit more like home.

This house is a late 70's "modern-ish" home, which is not really a style that I have embraced in all my eclectic journeys.

Painting has been a fun, but sometimes a journey of second-guessing (I will have a story about the exterior painting later). For the Master we had originally bought a "stormy day" grayish-blue color, which really almost matched our Ikea Hemnes dressers.

Ultimately, we had to decide whether we go lighter, and more subtle OR go BOLD.... well, the title of the post gives it away- We chose BOLD.... Naval from Sherwin Williams to be exact.

The color is really quite soothing... this may surprise some people, but when I dove in with painting the walls there was never a doubt about turning back.

To Note:

*You will think you are finished painting, but often you will need an extra coat even with a darker color...

*Protect your floors, this may seem obvious, but I had some drip problems...
